Book Twister Reviews is the new year’s resolution of a journalism major who needs to reconnect with her love of writing. That journalism major would be me, Holly, and this blog will focus on reviewing and discussing books both hot off the presses and those that have started to gather dust on bookstore shelves. Because books of all sizes, ages and genres deserve some TLC every now and then.
As for me, reading was something that I was encouraged to be passionate about from a young age when my mother would read me bedtime stories every night, and that fire has not dimmed at all in my 20s. There’s nothing more relaxing than curling up in my home library with anything from Stephen King to John Green or Craig Ferguson and losing myself in one of the thousands of worlds that books create. I want to share those worlds with you, and hopefully, we can find a camaraderie that only two book lovers can have.
And just a little bit about me outside of reading. I’m a small town Ohioan, born and raised. So small town, in fact, that we had a “Drive your tractor to school” day in high school. I graduated from Ohio University in 2013 and will remain a steadfast Bobcat for the rest of my days (because who really wants to be a Buckeye, anyhow). I have monster…I mean dog named Otto and can be found writing and editing for The Daily Quirk when I’m not here, reading, or working for my other job that actually pays off my college debt.
